Saudi Air Force spy drone downed in northwestern Yemen.
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that a Saudi coalition drone had been shot down by a surface-to-air missile in Hajjah province.
Yemeni Air Defense spokesman Yahya Sari said the Yemeni air defense had shot down a Saudi Air Force spy drone in the town of Harz in Hajjah province.
He added that the drone was made in China and was of the “CHF” type (CH4) and was shot down by a surface-to-air missile while carrying out hostile actions.
According to Yemeni media reports, fierce clashes continue between Sanaa forces and Saudi coalition forces and their allied groups in the border areas between Hajjah province (northwestern Yemen) and the southern border of Saudi Arabia, killing or wounding dozens of forces on both sides.
Earlier this week, the Saudi Ministry of Defense announced in a statement that, in an important development and for the first time in seven years, the Saudi Ministry of Defense sent two military brigades deep into Yemeni territory to launch a large-scale military operation to “liberate” Saada and Hajj to participate with the army of the resigned Yemeni government.
