In a discriminatory move, Saudi Arabia is blocking the vaccination of Yemeni residents on its soil.
Yemeni organization accused Saudi Arabia of preventing the vaccination of Yemeni residents in its territory, and this organization considered this action of Al Saud as racial discrimination.
In a statement, the human rights organization Sam said that Saudi officials had stopped providing the Corona virus vaccine to some Yemeni residents without any justification or decision.
The Geneva-based organization called the move a clear violation of international law and racial discrimination.
According to the organization, the move puts Saudi Arabia at risk for the lives of thousands of Yemenis living in the country.
“When I went to the Jazan University Center today to receive the second dose of Corona vaccine for my daughters, the guard at the center prevented me from getting the vaccine,” Sam was quoted as saying by a Yemeni citizen in Saudi Arabia.
He added: “Although we had booked the corona vaccine 22 days ago; But when we arrived on the promised date, I was surprised that the guards prevented me from entering the center.
“My daughters will not be able to go to school at the beginning of next week because they have not received a second dose of the coronavirus vaccine,” he said, according to a Yemeni organization statement.
The Yemeni citizen in Saudi Arabia said: “I felt pain and regret when I saw the psychological shock inflicted on my daughters while listening to my conversation with the guards that the Yemenis had been banned from vaccinating by the Saudi authorities.
Human Rights Watch called on Saudi officials to stop racist acts against Yemeni residents and to vaccinate them like any other nation, as such actions violate international principles and norms, as well as Saudi Arabia’s immoral and inhumane treatment of residents. It is Yemeni.
Tens of thousands of Yemenis working in Saudi Arabia are facing a series of measures by Saudi officials, including deportation, to prevent them from receiving the Corona virus.
In July and August, the Saudi government launched a purge campaign against hundreds of Yemeni specialists, including academics, doctors and teachers, which terminated employment contracts with universities in southern Saudi Arabia.
Thousands of Yemeni workers were expelled from Saudi Arabia during the war years of the Saudi-led Arab aggression coalition in Yemen under the pretext of “localizing jobs.”
The Saudi war against Yemen has been going on since March 2015, and the deadly consequences of this war have worsened the humanitarian situation in the country and caused a wave of concern in the international arena.
