Sana’a warns Riyadh about a “regretful and deterrent response”.
According to al-Mayadin, the secretary of the Supreme Political Council of Yemen spoke of a surprising action that Sana’a is preparing to create deterrence against Saudi Arabia, and if this country continues to hesitate in completing the negotiations and adhering to the requirements of establishing peace in Yemen will regret.
In a press conference, Yasser Al-Houri emphasized: Sana’a will prepare its alternatives and options if Saudi Arabia takes the approach of one step forward and two steps back in the negotiations.
He added: If there is no clear and explicit commitment, Saudi Arabia and the region will not enjoy security and stability. The range of options for Sana’a is wide due to the expansion of domestic military production and Yemen’s combat readiness at all levels.
Al-Houri noted: Saudi Arabia is avoiding and trying to gain time in implementing its obligations in the humanitarian case of Yemen, which includes the right to deal with the effects of aggression from all directions and adhere to all commitments to achieve peace.
He explained that dealing with the effects of aggression against the Yemeni people and investigating it is much more than paying compensation and reconstruction because it includes all moral, psychological, health, and other aspects.
It should be noted that the people of Yemen have not seen any positive results from the ceasefire, except for the release of a number of prisoners and a destination for flights, and this issue has added to their suffering from the consequences of aggression and siege for more than eight years.
