Sanaa: Saudi Arabia bombs Yemen every day and then calls for talks.
The Prime Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government stressed that the invitation of Saudi Arabia to talks while bombing Sanaa every day is to deceive public opinion.
The Prime Minister of the National Salvation Government, Abdul Aziz bin Habtour, called the first step in any talks on resolving the Yemeni crisis an end to the Saudi coalition’s invasion of Yemen.
“The aggressor countries are calling for talks in Sanaa, which has targeted the city with its daily bombardment,” he told Al-Mayadin.
“The lifting of the siege and the reopening of ports and airports are among the conditions for any dialogue with the aggressor countries,” bin Habtour said.
The Prime Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government called Saudi Arabia’s requests and initiatives to resolve the Yemeni crisis an attempt to deceive public opinion, and said that any dialogue should take place in a geographically neutral region compared to Sanaa and Riyadh.
He added: “The mediator of resolving the crisis between all parties to the dialogue must be reliable and balanced, while Saudi Arabia itself is a party to the crisis and not a mediator.”
Some officials in the Gulf Cooperation Council announced on Tuesday that the council has decided to invite the parties involved in Yemen to a meeting in Saudi Arabia. Officials were quoted by Reuters as saying that official invitations to consult on Yemen would be sent in the next few days, and that the Yemeni Ansarullah movement was among the parties the Cooperation Council was considering inviting to the meeting.
