Sana’a: America’s attempt to extend the ceasefire in Yemen is to protect the Zionist regime.
The Security-Defense Deputy of the Prime Minister of Yemen stated that Sana’a rejected the extension of the ceasefire for six months due to the lack of progress in economic issues, and said that America is trying to protect the Zionist regime by extending the ceasefire in Yemen.
Jalal al-Ravishan, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense and Security of Yemen, said in an interview with “Al-Masira” channel on Thursday evening that the experience of four months of ceasefire was not encouraging for Sana’a.
In this regard, the Yemeni Prime Minister’s deputy for defense and security stated: “The objectives of stability, resistance, countering the guardianship are clear, and the acceptance of the ceasefire was also in this direction. This situation of neither war nor peace is tiring for our people, and we are preparing to counter the plans of the aggressive coalition in this regard.
Jalal Al Royshan added: “Behind the American effort to establish a ceasefire, there are strategic plans in the region, the beginning of which is to close the road to the east and protect the security of the Zionist regime.”
El Royshan also stated: “The experience of the last four months was not encouraging and we did not reach a format for the economy, so the extension of the ceasefire for six months was rejected.”
In the end, he warned: “We will monitor the behavior of the aggressor coalition towards its obligations in these two months, and based on this issue, the decision-maker will determine his future options.”
The two-month ceasefire in Yemen began on the 13th of April this year (1401); But it was on the 12th of June that the UN envoy announced that the conflicting parties in Yemen agreed to extend the ceasefire for another two months (on the 11th of August) with the same terms as before.
After the end of the second two months of the ceasefire, Sana’a announced that as a result of the efforts of the brothers in Oman, the opportunity to extend the ceasefire has been provided, therefore the ceasefire was extended for the third time for another two months.
“Mohammed Abdulsalam”, the spokesman of Yemen’s Ansarullah movement, announced that the action of the United Nations is necessary to pay employees’ salaries, reopen Sana’a airport and the port of Yemen, and end the blockade of Yemen.
