Russia’s reaction to Ukraine’s war crimes report; the “virtual mob” attack on Amnesty International.
The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia reacted to the report of Amnesty International about war crimes in Ukraine and the director general of this organization announced the attack of virtual mobs.
“Maria Zakharova”, the spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, reacted to the report of Amnesty International about the war crimes committed by Ukrainians.
“We have consistently spoken about this and described the actions of the Ukrainian armed forces as a tactic of using civilians as ‘human shields,'” Zakharova said in a statement.
On the other hand, Agnes Callamard, Director General of Amnesty International, in a Twitter message, criticized the verbal attacks against this organization in cyberspace. In this message, he wrote that virtual mobs are attacking Amnesty International.
Callamard added: “This is a propaganda war, disseminating false information and distorting information. We are not leaving the position of neutrality and we are not changing the facts.”
Amnesty International announced in a report yesterday (Thursday) that the tactics used by the Ukrainian army “violate international human rights laws and pose a danger to citizens.”
Callamard explained about the report: “We documented a pattern of actions by Ukrainian forces in terms of endangering civilians and violating the laws of war while conducting combat operations in residential areas.”
He noted: “The fact that the Ukrainians are on the defensive cannot exempt them from respecting international human rights laws.”
