Russia: US wants to prolong Ukraine war.
The head of Russia’s intelligence service said the United States was seeking to trap Russia in Ukraine.
The head of Russia’s foreign intelligence service, Sergei Naryshkin, said in an interview that the United States was interested in prolonging the war in Ukraine.
He told the RIA Novosti news agency that the United States was seeking to make the Ukraine war as costly as possible for Moscow and Kiev, and had resorted to “the dirtiest methods”, including sending armed men to form secret organizations.
The Russian intelligence official also said that the United States is working to ensure that the situation in Ukraine does not worsen so that the crisis does not spread to Western Europe, but that sending more weapons to Ukraine will not lead to peace. According to him, American strategists seek to turn Ukraine into another Afghanistan for Russia during the war with the Soviet Union.
In this regard, the US Department of Defense last night announced the delivery of 100 Suicide Blade 600 drones to Ukraine and announced that more weapons aid is on its way to Ukraine.
Sergei Naryshkin further stressed that the United States will never succeed in implementing this strategy and trapping Russia in Ukraine; Moscow has succeeded in polarizing the atmosphere of international relations and will use this fact against its enemies in the future.
Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine on February 24 (March 5, 1400) following NATO provocative actions on the Russian border, and Western countries, especially the United States, not only did not take action to reduce tensions and stop the conflict in Ukraine, but also sent Equipment and weapons and pressure on Russia have further fueled the unrest.
