Russia predicts a long-term conflict in Ukraine
Russia’s representative to international organizations based in Geneva says that Moscow’s prediction is a protracted conflict in Ukraine.
Regarding the possibility of a meeting between the leaders of Moscow and Kiev, the representative of Russia in international organizations based in Geneva said that there will be no direct meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.
He also said about the current situation in the field of resolving the crisis in Ukraine: We do not see the possibility of a diplomatic solution in Ukraine and we foresee a long-term conflict.
While the military conflicts in Ukraine continue, some mediators, including Turkey and the United Nations, are trying to reduce tension and resolve the political and diplomatic crisis in Ukraine. However, the arms aid of Western countries to Ukraine has caused the escalation of tensions in recent weeks and the conflicts have spread to other areas, including the Crimean Peninsula.
German Prime Minister Olaf Schultz said on Sunday that conflicts in Ukraine should not escalate.
He continued his speech and said: “Germany will help Ukraine as much as necessary, but conflicts should not escalate, and this is a basic principle for Germany.”
