Russia ordered a military attack on Ukraine on the 5th of March (February 24). This development occurred a few days after Moscow officially recognized the independence of the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the goal of his country’s military operations to “demilitarize Ukraine” and “de-Nazify” this country.
Russia has repeatedly warned about the expansion of NATO in Europe, especially on its borders. Moscow believes that the current crisis in Ukraine has occurred due to the hostile policy and Russophobia of the West. Putin previously said that Moscow has various options to respond to NATO’s moves and expand this western military alliance to the east.
Since the beginning of the crisis, Western countries, especially America and England, have fueled the conflicts in this country by imposing all kinds of sanctions against Moscow and sending weapons and equipment to Ukraine and preventing Kiev from sitting at the table of peace negotiations. In the latest development, media reported on Saturday that a new US military aid package to Ukraine includes new weapons, ammunition and equipment, including Scan Eagle drones.
Recently, Russia’s deputy foreign minister said that the country does not want the United States to become a party to the conflict in Ukraine, but Washington is not taking the warnings seriously.
