Russia: America should return the stolen money of Afghanistan.
The Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations asked the United States to return the money stolen from Afghanistan at the meeting of the Security Council of this organization.
The meeting of the UN Security Council on the issue of Afghanistan turned into a scene of accusations against Russia’s representative at the UN and Linda Thomas-Greenfeld, his American counterpart.
Russian media sources reported that Linda Thomas-Greenfeld, the United States representative at the United Nations, accused Russia and China of Moscow’s insignificant help in providing financial aid for the reconstruction of Afghanistan, followed by a sharp comment from her Russian counterpart.
According to “Tass” news agency, Russia’s permanent representative to the United Nations said at the UN Security Council meeting on Afghanistan: “From the long comments of our American colleagues, we can get a request from Russia and China to pay for the reconstruction of Afghanistan. “On the face of it, it is the United States and its allies who are paying for everything, while Russia and China are just talking empty words.”
“Vasily Nebenzia” mentioned the 20-year war of occupation of the United States and its allies in Afghanistan and their responsibility in the destruction of the country’s infrastructure at the UN Security Council meeting.
The Russian diplomat said: “The pessimism in such claims is shocking. We are being asked to pay for the reconstruction of a country whose economy was practically destroyed by the 20-year US and NATO occupation. Instead of acknowledging our mistakes and trying to correct them, we are accused of not wanting to pay someone else’s bill. It is an interesting proposal.
The Permanent Representative of Russia to the United Nations continued: “It is our former Western partners, not you, who must pay for your mistakes, and to begin with, it is necessary to return the money stolen from the Afghan people.”
Vassily Nebenzia also stated: “We have been helping Afghanistan and we will help Afghanistan, and we suggest that they focus on paying their bills to the people of Afghanistan for 20 years of senseless occupation; The occupation that destroyed Afghanistan and put its people on the verge of trying to survive.
