Riyadh’s new regional policy is alarming for Israel.
In recent days, the occupied Palestinian media, focusing on Riyadh’s recent regional policies in convergence and reconciliation with the countries of the region, consider this approach of Saudi Arabia to be worrying and an alarm against Tel Aviv’s regional strategy.
Al-Mayadeen news site quoted the Hebrew Kan TV channel on Tuesday night and wrote that we are witnessing the emergence of new messages and signals from Riyadh in changing its regional political positions, especially regarding the Hamas movement.
Kan Hebrew network writes: “Riyadh’s closeness to Hamas is worrying for Tel Aviv because when we look at other foreign positions of Saudi Arabia in regional convergence and reconciliation with Iran, Syria and Sana’a; This turn from Tel Aviv’s point of view definitely contains worrying messages.
This TV channel adds that the recent historical visit of “Faisal Bin Farhan”, the Saudi Foreign Minister, to Damascus after 12 years since the beginning of the crisis in Syria and the reconciliation with Iran and the ceasefire with the authorities in Sana’a is worrying for the strategic policy of this regime.
It should be mentioned that Syrian President Bashar Assad hosted the Saudi Foreign Minister in the presidential palace of Damascus today for the first time.
The office of the President of Syria issued a statement earlier, Bashar Assad announced in a meeting with Faisal bin Farhan that the establishment of peaceful relations between Syria and Saudi Arabia has its natural course and is aimed at realizing mutual interests and expediency and climatic needs.
In the recent meeting between Bashar al-Assad and Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, expressing hope for Damascus’ ability to remove the effects of the devastating war, expressed that Riyadh adheres to its support for Damascus.
