Risk assessment of confidential documents seized from Trump’s villa by intelligence agencies.
The Director of National Intelligence informed the House of Representatives of this country that he will assess the potential risk of revealing the documents discovered in the villa of the former President of the United States in the state of Florida.
Following the political controversies over the confiscation of confidential documents from former US President Donald Trump’s mansion and requests to publish the content of these documents, the media reported on the extent of the risk of this issue.
According to a letter seen by Reuters, the US intelligence community will assess the potential risk of disclosing documents discovered at Trump’s Mar-e-Lago villa in Florida.
This letter dated Friday was sent by April Hennessy, Director of National Intelligence, to Adam Schiff, Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, and Carolyn Maloney, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee.
According to Reuters, the letter states that the Department of Justice and National Intelligence are working together to facilitate a review of the confidentiality of documents discovered in the course of this case.
After receiving the letter, Schiff and Maloney said in a joint statement that they were pleased the administration was assessing the damage caused by the improper storage of classified documents at Mar-e-Lago.
According to the report, Haynes wrote in the letter that he will guide the intelligence community’s assessment of the potential risk that the disclosure of relevant documents poses to US national security.
Trump previously asked the court to temporarily bar the FBI from examining items seized from his mansion until a special counsel is appointed to oversee the lawsuit.
It was about two weeks ago that federal investigators, after entering Trump’s mansion and searching for several hours, seized thousands of classified documents that he brought with him when he left the White House.
In response to this attack, Trump said in a statement: “Such an attack can only happen in bankrupt and third world countries. “Unfortunately, America has now become one of those countries that has become corrupt on a level never seen before.”
