Retired US soldiers: We should not have left Afghanistan.
The findings of a national survey in the United States show that 73 percent of veterans of the country believe that Washington should not have withdrawn its troops from Afghanistan, because, according to them, this action has negatively affected the war on terror.
The “Mission Roll Call” organization, which seeks to attract different views of veterans and promote their needs, announced with the release of these statistics that the said survey was conducted on about 5500 American veterans across the country.
The findings of this survey also show that in addition to 73% of American veterans disagreeing with the way of withdrawing from Afghanistan, 83% of the participants in the survey are also dissatisfied with the lack of accountability of the senior civilian and military officials of the United States regarding the withdrawal method.
According to the Military Times, the veteran’s advocacy organization adds that they also support the investigation into the withdrawal recently announced by the House Foreign Relations Committee.
In this survey, the question was raised as to how much the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan has affected the fight against terrorism; In response, 18% of the participants said that they have no opinion about it, and another 73% called its effect negative.
