The war in Yemen has entered its ninth year and we now see Yemen with a new face and a decisive role in the region.
The war in Yemen entered its ninth year on the 6th of April, a war that apart from tens of thousands of dead and injured and millions of displaced people and the destructive effects of the all-round siege, is now at a point where, according to both friends and enemies, the Yemenis have the upper hand.
Yemen has changed
We are talking about the upper hand of the resistance in Yemen and the fact that the government of Sana’a has been able to impose its demands at this stage of the battle, this fact has come to fruition due to a series of events and internal and external factors, which we will discuss below.
Looking at the political and field conditions of Yemen, it is clearly clear that after eight years, the National Salvation government in Sana’a, while having the military power of missiles, drones and regular ground forces, is politically at the highest level of coherence, many It was thought that after the death of Ali Abdullah Saleh as a [tactical] ally of the Ansarullah Movement on December 4, 2017, the political crisis would spread in Sana’a, but it never happened.
The growth and dynamism of the government of Sana’a is not limited to the military force and political cohesion, but we witness this dynamism at the social levels by bringing people to the stage on various occasions; The celebrations of the birth of the Holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh) which are held with unparalleled splendor in all provinces, mass marriage ceremonies at the initiative of the Yemeni Endowment Organization, million marches on various occasions, the last of which is on the anniversary of the start of the war on the 6th of April in all the provinces under the control of the Sana’a government. We witnessed, it all indicates that the political forces in Sana’a have shown high efficiency.
