Report Why the West could not return Russia to the “Stone Age”.
While Western countries claimed that by bombing Russia’s economy, they would return this country to the Stone Age, but now, after about six months since the start of the war in Ukraine, the negative impact of Western sanctions on these countries is becoming more and more obvious.
While more than five months have passed since the war in Ukraine, Western sanctions against Russia have failed to achieve their goals of bringing Moscow to its knees.
In a report referring to this issue, the English Guardian magazine wrote: “Sanctions against Russia are considered the most incorrect and unproductive policy in the recent history of the world arena.”
The report states: “Military aid to Ukraine is justified, but the economic war against the regime in Moscow has been ineffective and destructive for its unintended goals.” Global energy prices have risen sharply and inflation is increasing. The supply chain has been disrupted and millions of people are facing shortages of gas, grains and fertilizers.
The Guardian wrote in the continuation of its report: “Western sanctions against Russia are in an ambiguous situation. Defense analysts have been silent on this matter, think tanks have also remained silent, and “Liz Truss” and “Rishi Sunak”, the possible future prime ministers of the UK, have only made rhetoric and without announcing any targeted strategy, they have only raised the promise of tougher sanctions against Moscow. However, if any doubts about the effectiveness of sanctions are announced, you will be criticized as pro-Putin and anti-Ukraine.
