As the Zionist army continued its attacks on the worshipers of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people of Al-Quds on Friday evening, the leaders of the Palestinian groups warned the Zionist regime that they should wait for a response at any moment.
The events of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its neighboring areas, especially the Bab al-Amoud neighborhood, have been made battlefield by the Zionist army for the Palestinians on Friday evening.
The Palestinian Red Crescent announced that at least 205 people were injured in attacks by Zionist militants and settlers on Friday evening in Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Jarrah, and Bab al-Amoud neighborhoods, 88 of whom were taken to hospital.
The brutal attacks of the Zionist regime on the Palestinians started on Friday night with the attack of the Zionist forces on the land of Al-Aqsa Mosque and then it was extended to Bab al-Amoud. Zionist forces blocked the area on Friday and did not allow Palestinians to enter.
The Bab al-Amoud area, located in the center of Quds, has been the scene of clashes between Zionist forces and the people of Quds for the past 10 days. The people of Al-Quds emphasize that they will not allow Israel to carry out the program of Judaization of Al-Quds and the division of time and space of Al-Aqsa Mosque with the closure of the Bab al-Amoud area (adjacent to the Mosque).
“Silence in response to the events of Al-Quds is not possible, the enemy must wait for our response at any time,” said Ziad al-Nakhala, secretary-general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, in response to what happened on Friday night in Jerusalem.
He further urged the Palestinians to go to Al-Aqsa Mosque and not leave it until the 28th day of the holy month of Ramadan (when Israel plans to attack the holy Mosque). “We ask any Palestinian who can reach Al-Aqsa Mosque to do so and not leave until the 28th of Ramadan,” al-Nakhala said.
The Quds mosques also called for a general mobilization of the people of the city near the Al-Aqsa Mosque to break the siege of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the worshipers there.
But the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said in a statement in response to what happened on Friday evening at Al-Aqsa Mosque: “What the occupying regime has done to the worshipers of Al-Aqsa Mosque shows that the Zionist war is against the people of Jerusalem and freedom of worship.”
