Qatar says to continue to try to bring closer the views of Iran and other parties.
According to Al-Arabi Al-Jadeed, Majid Al-Ansari, the spokesman of Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced the continuation of Doha’s efforts to bring closer the views between Iran and the Western parties in negotiations to lift sanctions in order to prevent any tension that will be detrimental to all parties in the region.
According to this report, Al-Ansari said on Wednesday in a conversation with reporters about the recent visit of Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of Qatar, to Tehran: So far, there are plans to start a new round of negotiations between Iran and the Western parties regarding Iran’s nuclear issue. There is none, but Qatar’s mediation continues to provide proposals to facilitate the return of the parties to negotiations.
He also added that Qatar will not shy away from playing this role until the agreement is signed in order to ensure peace and security in the region.
