Putin’s meeting with senior military commanders in 100 kilometers of Ukraine.
According to Sputnik, “Vladimir Putin”, the President of Russia, met and talked with the senior commanders of the Russian army at the headquarters of the “Special Operations Command” in the city of Rostov, 100 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
In this meeting, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army and regional commanders and other senior commanders involved in the Russian military operation in Ukraine, reported the process of this operation to Putin.
In the latest developments of the war and conflicts in Ukraine, the Ukrainian army started its counter-attacks a few weeks ago, but so far it has not achieved much, and even Russian and Western officials say that these counter-attacks have met with a heavy failure.
“Sergei Shoigu”, the Minister of Defense of Russia, recently announced in a video interview with the commanders of the Russian armed forces that the Ukrainian army lost more than 20,000 soldiers last month (July). In this regard, he said: “The leadership of the Ukrainian armed forces is desperately carrying out new attacks against our positions, but thanks to the strong defense line, skillful organization of the fire system, professional actions, endurance and tolerance of the Russian army, all the enemy attacks were repelled.”
Sergei Shoigu added about the casualties of the Ukrainian army: last month, as a result of the successful operations of our forces, the enemy’s casualties reached more than 20,800 soldiers, and more precisely, 20,824 soldiers; 2824 pieces of their various weapons were also destroyed. In the last 30 days, the Russian army also destroyed 10 Leopard tanks, 11 American Bradley armored vehicles, 40 American M777 artillery systems and 50 self-propelled guns donated by the UK, USA, Germany, France, and Poland to the Ukrainian army.
