Putin will not congratulate the leaders of the United States, Germany, and France on the New Year.
Dmitry Peskov, Kremlin spokesman, announced Friday that Vladimir Putin will not send greetings to the leaders of unfriendly countries on the occasion of the New Year, according to Ryanavosti.
He said: The leaders of unfriendly countries include Joe Biden, Olaf Schultz, and Emmanuel Macron. Russia practically has no contact with these people.
Asked why Putin canceled his annual press conference, Peskov said that the Russian president’s press interactions in the future will not be as predictable as before the Corona pandemic. The reason for this, he said, is that the president’s health is “a matter of state security.”
