Despite this, he said that Russia seeks to establish a relationship with America based on equality and respect.
Putin said: “We always seek to establish relations between Russia and the United States based on the principles of equality and respect for sovereignty and non-interference in each other’s internal affairs.”
Putin added: “This will be our guiding principle in the future.”
The Russian president stated: “The relations between Russia and the United States of America, on which the security and stability of the world depend, are involved in a deep crisis.”
The Russian president noted that the crisis stems from “very different approaches to the modern world order.”
The President of Russia expressed hope that foreign ambassadors will participate in political dialogues and humanitarian issues. He also stated that Russia expects its partners to adhere to the principles of equality in bilateral relations.
According to Sputnik news agency, Putin also informed foreign ambassadors about the new concept of Russian foreign policy.
Earlier, in an article, the President of Russia named America responsible for organizing the “armed coup d’état” in Ukraine in 2014, which led to the ouster of then-President Viktor Yanukovych and the installation of a pro-Western government in the country, creating a split in it.
