The Palestinian resistance movements have stated the continued detention of Palestinians in Saudi Arabia with the aim of narrowing the ground to supporters of the resistance and approaching the occupying regime, which is a stain on the foreheads of its perpetrators.
Saudi Arabia has detained about 60 Palestinians since 2019, including Hamas envoy Mohammed al-Khadiri, resistance protests continue.
In a recent statement, Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim said that continuing to detain dozens of Palestinians in Saudi Arabia was a mistake and in conflict with Arab values.
According to the report, he called on Riyadh to release the detainees immediately, saying that they had acted in favor of the Palestinian cause within the framework of Saudi law.
The spokesman for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Daoud Shahab, also strongly condemned the continued detention of the Palestinians, including Mahmoud al-Khadiri, without charge.
He told Arab 21 the arrests were made in order to narrow the ground for supporters of the Palestinian people and supporters of the legitimate resistance and to pave the way for the normalization of relations with the occupying Israeli regime.
Al-Ahrar Palestinian Movement spokesman Yasser Khalaf also lamented the detention of dozens of Palestinians in Riyadh without charge, saying it was a disgrace to the countries that have normalized relations with Tel Aviv and moved closer to the regime. The occupiers are trying.
Khalaf rejected some attempts to tarnish the image of the Palestinian people and its struggle, stressing that the scene of the nation’s resistance is only occupied territories and that no action has been taken by the Palestinians to undermine the security and stability of Saudi Arabia, etc.
He then called for the immediate release of the detainees, adding that if one of the detainees died in prison, it would be a disgrace to those who insisted on continuing their detention.
Hamas and other Palestinian movements have repeatedly called for the release of the Palestinians, and Ismail Haniyeh has previously sent several letters to Saudi officials.
