Private information of Twitter users under the microscope of the US government.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk said in an interview with Fox News that the US government has “full access” to all direct and private messages of users, according to The Hill.
He goes on to say that knowing this truth and the US government’s access to this information has confused his mind.
In part of the Fox News interview, Elon Musk told the host of the network that he was shocked to learn about the government’s ability to read direct messages from users on his platform.
Musk, who recently founded an artificial intelligence company, said in an interview: “It blew my mind how effectively government agencies had access to everything that was being tweeted.”
He also expressed concern about the latest developments in artificial intelligence, saying that this technology has the potential to destroy civilization.
In this regard, Elon Musk said: “Artificial intelligence is more dangerous than the design, repair, maintenance or wrong production of airplanes and cars.”
