Prison Collapses Due To Earthquake In Syria Facilitating ISIS’ Escape.
Prisoners in northwestern Syria, most of whom are ISIS terrorists, escaped from the prison on Monday night after the devastating earthquake.
About 2,000 prisoners are kept in the military police prison in the village of “Raju” on the border between Syria and Turkey, and nearly 1,300 of them are accused of collaborating with ISIS.
The authorities of this prison, which is under the control of Turkish-affiliated militias, have announced that on Monday night, following the earthquake, the prisoners of this area disobeyed and about 20 of them escaped from the prison.
These officials said that the 7.7-magnitude earthquake in the region caused the collapse of some prison walls and provided the space for prisoners to escape.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights also announced that it is aware of the disobedience of the prisoners in this prison, but cannot confirm their escape.
