Pressure from Tel Aviv bore fruit. Australia declare Hamas “terrorist”.
The Australian government has declared the entire Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) a “terrorist” organization.
As Zionist regime’s anti-Palestinian pressure on Western countries continues to call Hamas “terrorist”, Australia on Thursday (today) officially declared Hamas as a whole terrorist.
Australia on Thursday (today) announced that it has recognized the entire Hamas movement as a terrorist organization, AFP reported. Australia has previously called Hamas’ military wing a terrorist organization.
Explaining why the move was made, Australian Interior Minister Karen Andrew said: “The views of Hamas and the violent extremist groups on the (terrorist) list today are very worrying and there is no room in Australia for their hateful ideologies.”
According to the decision of the Australian government, in case of financing or providing other aid to Hamas in this country, the wrongdoers will be dealt with and they can be sentenced to 25 years in prison.
“It is vital that our laws target not only terrorist acts and terrorists, but also the organizations that plan, finance and carry out these acts.”
Australia’s decision to declare the entire Hamas movement a terrorist act comes at a time when the United States, Britain, Germany and some of the Zionist regime’s other Western allies have already taken this anti-Palestinian action.
Zionist pressure on Australia to call Hamas “terrorist” comes as Prime Minister Naftali Bennett meets with Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison during a visit to Glasgow, Scotland, in early November on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26).
“I invited him to pay an official visit to Israel,” Bennett wrote on Twitter after the meeting. We talked about improving the climate, Iran’s threatening nuclear program and strengthening relations between the two countries. In addition, I asked him to formally recognize Australia as a terrorist organization.
