President Raisi Meets Bashar in Damascus.
With the opening of regional and Arab political relations with Syria, Iran’s President Ebrahim Raeesi’s visit to Damascus will take place.
A trip that carries many cases, the main of which is economic issues. The plan of the President of Iran is to meet with Syrian economic activists, including businessmen and industrialists. They consider this trip to open the doors of the two countries to the development of economic relations between the two sides, in order to raise the level of their political and military alliance, which is the strongest and most obvious alliance in the region.
George Dawood, a member of the board of directors of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce, said about the presence of the President of Iran and the meeting with the activists of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce: “We have common business relations and we are always trying to expand them.” We use this very important trip of Mr. Raisi to consolidate the agreements in the economic field that have already been signed. Here we are talking about public and private sector. We had many agreements with the public and private sectors of Iran and we always try to improve them. As we know that the terrorists destroyed many factories and sectors, we are trying to encourage Iranian investors to come to Syria to participate with us in the reconstruction of these infrastructures, either through investment or through Setting up production lines either through raw materials or the export market that Iran has. We can use the free trade agreement between the Arab countries and actually not pay the customs tariff between the Arab countries, and in this way we can export the Iranian goods produced in Syria to the Arab countries at the lowest cost. In fact, Syria should be a window for Iran’s economy towards the Mediterranean Sea. Also, in Syria, we can make full use of the advanced technology available in Iran. I personally saw some factories in Iran, they have very advanced technology, especially in the production of energy, industry and medicine, as well as nano technology. We can use Iran as a window for the Syrian economy in Asian countries and the rest of the world.”
