Palestinian official: The relationship between Syria and Hamas leads to unity against the Zionist regime.
The Secretary General of the “Al-Mabada al-Wataniyyah” (National Initiative) movement said that the relations between Hamas and Syria will cause the Palestinian and Arab resistance groups to unite against Zionist aggression.
Mustafa Al-Barghouti, Secretary General of the National Initiative (National Initiative) movement, said on Thursday that the move of the Hamas movement in developing strong relations with Syria is a positive step.
Al-Barghouthi told Shahab news agency that this issue will cause the Palestinian and Arab resistance groups, including Syria, to unite against the aggression of the Zionist interim regime.
He stated that this action of Hamas is to return the affairs to its right path and pointed out that relations should be based on mutual respect. The national method of struggle should be unified to support the Palestinian nation and the Arab nation.
This Palestinian official emphasized that Syria has always been against the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime, and accordingly, it should strengthen its relations with this country.
“Khidr Habib,” one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, said in this context: “This is a step in the right direction and will lead to the central strengthening of the resistance to confront the Zionist enemy; Severing relations is not in the interest of Syria and Hamas, nor in the interest of the Palestinian cause.
He emphasized that Syria is an important pillar in the conflict with the Zionist enemy, and its positions are principled and fixed, and such positions are in the interest of the Palestinian issue, its people, and the Arab nation to deal with the compromise with the Zionist regime.
Habib also emphasized the importance of having distinct relations with all elements of the resistance axis, whether in Lebanon, Syria, or Iraq, and said that the greater the unity of the resistance axis, the more negative effects it will have on Israel’s occupation and its existence.
This leader of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement also called the existence of a resistance-oriented plan regarding national issues and the Palestinian issue necessary and said that in order to achieve this goal, there must be relations based on understanding.
Yesterday afternoon (Thursday), Hamas, in a statement condemning the recent airstrikes by the Zionist regime on the international airports of Damascus and Aleppo, announced that this movement seeks to establish strong relations with the Syrian government.
