Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, the Palestinian Mufti and spokesman for Al-Aqsa Mosque, condemned remarks made by US Congressman Paul Gossar about Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Gosar had claimed in a statement: It is disgusting to allow the construction of this mosque (Al-Aqsa Mosque) on top of this temple (the temple of the temple claimed by the Zionists). It is worthwhile for the United Nations to find a way to dismantle this mosque and move it to another place.
According to the Wafa news agency, the Mufti of Quds stated that these remarks were similar to the remarks made by the extremist Zionist cleric Yakov Hyman, who called for the destruction of the Dome of the Rock. (More details)
Sheikh Mohammad Hussein These statements are really dangerous and racist and contradict the internationally recognized situation regarding Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque.
He stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque is for Muslims only and that no one other than Muslims has the right to interfere in it. Any decision to damage this mosque is an insult to all Muslims.
