Palestine’s request to the international community to stop excavations in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Palestinian Authority called for immediate international intervention to stop the excavations of the Zionist interim regime under Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine issued a statement today, asking the United States and the international community to immediately stop the excavations under Al-Aqsa Mosque and its surroundings.
It is stated in this statement that the world community and international organizations are responsible for the occupation regime’s excavations that have been going on for decades.
According to the report of the Palestine News Agency (Wafa), the Palestinian Foreign Ministry in its statement demanded to force the occupying regime to adhere to the existing situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque and to respect the powers and responsibilities of the Islamic Endowment Administration.
It is stated in this statement that these excavations have targeted the foundations of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the distortion of internal and external antiquities of this holy place based on the narratives of the occupying regime, which poses risks for Al-Aqsa Mosque and the previous mosque.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine also strongly condemned the opposition of the occupying regime officials to the demands of the Islamic Endowments Department to inspect the surroundings of Al-Aqsa Mosque and to know the facts of its excavations.
In this statement, pointing out that the Zionist regime bears full and direct responsibility for these excavations, it warned about the regime’s efforts to change the historical reality of Al-Aqsa Mosque and its legal status.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Palestine also condemned the repeated attacks of the Zionists on Al-Aqsa Mosque and its courtyards and their purpose, especially to divide the time and place of this holy mosque.
