Pakistani Minister of Parliamentary Affairs meets Amir Abdullahian in Islamabad.
After receiving the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Pakistani Minister of Parliamentary Affairs said that he had talked with him about bilateral relations and how to help Afghanistan meet the challenges.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, arrived in Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan, on Sunday morning at the head of a delegation.
Pakistani Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Ali Mohammad Khan wrote on his Twitter page that he welcomed the Iranian Foreign Minister, posting pictures of Amir Abdullahian and his entourage.
Mohammad Khan explained: “I welcomed the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran who have come to attend the 17th extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Islamabad. “Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian led the delegation.”
“I spoke with the Iranian Foreign Minister about bilateral relations between the two Muslim and brotherly countries, as well as our role in helping Afghanistan meet its medical, food, educational and other challenges,” he said in another tweet about his meeting with Amir Abdullahian.
The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran left Tehran for Islamabad on Saturday evening to attend the 17th emergency meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Islamic Cooperation Organization.
It is worth mentioning that the emergency meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on Afghanistan is scheduled to be held on Sunday, December 19 in Islamabad.
According to Pakistani officials, the Special Representatives of the Permanent Members of the UN Security Council on Afghanistan have also been invited to attend the meeting.
