The Pakistani foreign minister has begun a regional tour of Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran to discuss the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, “Shah Mahmoud Qureshi” began his regional trip to meet with officials from Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran to discuss recent developments in Afghanistan and to try to establish an inclusive government in Afghanistan.
According to a statement issued by the Pakistani Foreign Ministry, Qureshi will share Pakistan’s views on the latest developments in Afghanistan.
According to Down News, Pakistan believes that neighboring countries contribute to the peace, security and stability of Afghanistan and the region, so coordination with neighbors is very important to address common challenges and advance common goals of regional peace, security, stability and communication.
Qureshi had previously stressed that Afghanistan is a multi-ethnic country, so the government that comes to power in Afghanistan must be an inclusive government.
He also stressed that in consultation with officials in other countries, he stressed the need to maintain international relations with the Taliban.
