“OIC meeting will be held on December 17 to review the situation in Afghanistan,” Foreign Minister of Pakistan Shah Mahmood Qureshi said.
He expressed hope that the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation would pay attention to this issue and respond positively. Afghanistan is one of the founding members of this organization and today our Afghan brothers and sisters need us more than ever.
“The Organization of Islamic Cooperation and all of us must work together to help the Afghan brothers in the winter,” he said.
Qureshi, noting that the first meeting of foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation was held in Islamabad in 1980, said: “Next month we will meet again in Islamabad to discuss the issue of Afghanistan.”
