A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said he would announce a large-scale operation by the Yemeni army and popular committees deep in Saudi territory in the coming hours.
“In the coming hours, a large-scale operation will be announced deep in Saudi territory,” Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Maj. Gen. Yahya Sari said in a news release today (Friday), according to Al-Aam.
Major General Sari also announced in a statement on Thursday night that the UAV unit of the army and the Yemeni People’s Committees carried out offensive operations deep in Saudi territory.
He added that the UAV unit of the army and the People’s Committees carried out the operation against the Abha International Airport in Saudi Arabia and that an important military target was carefully hit by the Qasef 2K UAV.
A spokesman for the Yemeni Armed Forces said: “This operation was carried out in the framework of a legitimate response to the military tension created by the aggressor coalition and the comprehensive siege of the Yemeni people by this coalition.”
