Muslim demonstrations in the Netherlands against “burning the Quran”
According to Anatoly, Muslims living in different cities of the Netherlands participated in a demonstration organized by Islamic organizations in the city of The Hague on Saturday. This demonstration was held against anti-Islamic and Islamophobic measures in Europe, including against the derogatory act of burning the Koran.
Protesters carried copies of the Koran and gathered in the main square of The Hague. Demonstrators also marched towards the embassies of Denmark and Sweden. They had signs that read: “The Quran gives us light to guide us, fire cannot burn the sun” and “I love the Quran.”
Protesters also criticized European governments that allow hostile acts against the Quran. “Don’t burn our Bible” and “Shame on the Danish and Swedish government!” they shouted. Demonstrators also recited verses from the Quran.
“Sardar Isik”, a psychologist, read a statement in front of the Swedish embassy and said: “Attacks on the Koran in Denmark, Sweden and the Netherlands are very disturbing to Muslims, and tearing up the Koran with the support of the police is a racist act.”
Issik also criticized the mayor of The Hague for allowing the attack on the Koran, saying: “It bothers us that racists and fascists are allowed to so openly attack the values of more than a million Muslims in the Netherlands.” He said that the demonstrators want the Dutch government to prepare a bill emphasizing the protection of religious peace and ensuring the peaceful coexistence of religious and non-religious groups and individuals.
Insulting Quran and Islam in Northern European countries such as Sweden, Holland and Denmark has increased significantly in the past months, so that in less than 6 months, there have been 10 cases of this type of insults.
The name of “Momika Selvan”, a radical Swedish citizen of Iraqi origin, is heard all the time these days; A person who, according to observers, his affiliation with Tel Aviv as well as his madness of fame has caused him to repeatedly insult the Holy Quran.
But along with radical people, the names of radical nationalist parties can also be seen, for example, “Edwin Wagensfeld”, the leader of the extreme anti-Islamic group “Pegida” in the Netherlands, burned a copy of the Holy Quran after tearing it and desecrating it. In another case, five members of the extremist group “Danish Nationalists” repeated the insult to the Holy Quran by burning this holy book in front of the Egyptian embassy in this country, and other similar cases.
While following repeated cases of Koran burning in Denmark and Sweden, the governments of these two Northern European countries have recently announced that they are considering ways to legally limit such actions, but in fact, it is their green light that paves the way for desecration. he does.
In European countries, at the same time that desecration of the Quran is carried out with the permission of official bodies such as the police, the security forces are taking steps to protect the security of the desecration; An issue that has caused this heinous and immoral behavior to be repeated constantly.
