The leader of the Sadr faction in Iraq Muqtada al-Sadr called on Iraqis to take to the streets on Saturday in support of Palestine and Jerusalem.
On his Twitter page, the leader of the Sadr movement in Iraq, Sayyid Muqtada al-Sadr, called on the people of his country to demonstrate on Saturday in protest of the Zionist regime’s crimes against the Palestinians and in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
He wrote: “After the quarantine was lifted due to the Coronavirus, it is necessary to hold demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people and to participate in peaceful protests.”
Muqtada al-Sadr added: “Tahrir Square in Baghdad will be the venue for these demonstrations, and the demonstrators should raise the Palestinian flag, burn the two flags of the United States and the Zionist regime, and condemn the occupation of Palestinian lands and the normalization of relations.”
