Moscow: Ukrainians target civilians to destroy Russian army.
A Russian Defense Ministry official says Ukrainian nationalists fired on residential buildings in Nikolaevka to discredit the Russian military, leaving several dead and wounded.
Following the efforts of the Ukrainian government and its Western allies to blackmail and destroy the Russian military front in the military operation in Donbas, Moscow unveiled the new plan of the Kiev regime.
Mikhail Mizintsev, head of the Russian National Defense Control Center at the Russian Ministry of Defense, said Saturday evening that Ukrainian militants fired on residential buildings in Nikolaevka to discredit the Russian army, leaving several dead and wounded.
“In the town of Nikolaevka in the Luhansk People’s Republic, the Kiev regime took another complex step to discredit the Russian armed forces in the eyes of the international community,” Mizintsev said in a statement, according to Sputnik.
“In this provocative act, militants from the Nationalist Battalions and military personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired artillery shells at residential buildings, killing and wounding several civilians,” the statement said.
According to him, everything that happened was photographed and filmed by New York Times reporters and Ukrainian reporters who accompanied the nationalists.
According to Sputnik, a representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense warned that in the future there are plans to introduce the Ukrainian forces in these images as Russian operational units.
“We are already warning the so-called civilized West that this act and other fabrications by Kyiv officials about Russia’s alleged crimes are going to be widely reported in the media and on the Internet in the near future,” Mizintsev said. “Such actions are taken by the Ukrainian authorities.”
He had previously said that Ukrainian militants had set up positions in schools and even psychiatric hospitals in a number of cities.
