“Maria Zakharova” added in this regard: Before the departure of journalists to New York, the US Embassy announced in response to a question about not issuing visas to media representatives: “We are working on it.”
“Sergei Ryabkov”, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia, announced a few hours ago: not issuing visas to Russian journalists who were supposed to accompany “Sergei Lavrov” (Russian Foreign Minister) to the United Nations, is a cruel and unacceptable technique. The blame for this incident lies entirely with the United States. At the same time (weeks ago, coinciding with Moscow’s presidency of the UN Security Council), the United States assured that visas would be issued to all Russian journalists.
