Moroccan journalists: The office of the Israeli network “I-24” should be closed immediately.
Moroccan journalists, while condemning any media normalization with the interim Zionist regime, stressed that the office of the I-24 network in Rabat should be closed immediately.
Moroccan journalists issued a statement Monday afternoon condemning any media normalization with the interim Zionist regime.
The statement was signed by dozens of Moroccan journalists. The statement is in response to the announcement of the establishment of the office of the Zionist network “I-24” in the country, which was made two weeks ago.
“The normalization of the media with the Zionist regime is a crime against the Palestinian people, the Maghreb, as well as humanity,” the daily Rai Al-Youm reported, quoting the statement. “Therefore, the I-24 network office must be closed immediately.”
“The establishment of the network’s office is a step towards provoking the feelings of the Moroccan people, in whose hearts the issue of Palestine is a national issue,” the statement said.
Late last May, the Israeli network announced that it had set up an office in the West. The Moroccan government also announced that it would “implement all agreements signed with Israel in all areas.”
It was in December 2020 that the Zionist regime and Morocco announced that they had resumed relations. This relationship was severed in 2000. Morocco was the fourth country to normalize relations with the regime after the UAE, Bahrain and Sudan.
The people, activists and parties of Morocco do not accept the normalization of relations with this regime and have repeatedly protested against this action.
