Millions of people demonstrated against Macron.
Demonstration of one million people against the Macron government in France
About 1.3 million people took to the streets to protest the Macron government’s plan on Tuesday.
French Ministry of Interior announced that about 1.3 million people took to the streets on Tuesday in various cities of the country against the Macron government’s pension reform plan.
While the number of anti-government protesters in the center of Paris was announced last week at 37,000 people, yesterday’s demonstration was held in Paris with the presence of 80,000 people.
According to reports, protests against Macron’s government have turned violent in at least three French cities. In Paris, a series of clashes between police and protesters have been reported and the police have been forced to use tear gas against the crowd. Financial damage was also reported in these protests and 43 people were arrested.
Meanwhile, 35 police officers were injured in Lyon. There were also reports of violence from Nantes, where some 30,000 people took to the streets on Tuesday.
Also, the cities of Brest, Rennes, Pau, Tours, Strasbourg and other cities of France also witnessed massive demonstrations against the government on Tuesday.
It is predicted that in the coming days, the volume of protests will take on wider dimensions if the Macron government insists on the labor force retirement plan.
