Diplomat: Militarization of Ukraine is a threat to Europe and the world.
Russia’s ambassador to the United States has warned that Western militarization of Ukraine poses a direct threat to European and world security.
Russia’s ambassador to the United States, Anatoly Antonov, said Western militarization of Ukraine posed a direct threat to European and world security.
“Moscow is calling on the supporters of the Kiev regime to stop inciting bloodshed in Ukraine and to think about the consequences of their actions,” he said, referring to arms shipments to Ukraine.
Antonov had previously said that staff at the Moscow embassy in Washington were receiving threats, including threats of physical violence, and that the embassy was now surrounded by a fortress.
“This is a good comparison, I prefer to agree with it,” said the senior Moscow diplomat. (Russian Embassy in the United States) is surrounded like a castle. “Our embassy operates in a hostile environment.”
The Moscow ambassador’s complaints in Washington about the anti-Russian atmosphere in the United States and his criticism of the American position have come at a time when the US government is pressuring Russia over the Ukraine crisis.
Joe Biden’s administration, led by the US Congress, has condemned Russia for invading Ukraine, imposed tough economic sanctions on Moscow, and stepped up all kinds of economic support, weapons and information to Ukraine.
It was in line with US policy that the US House of Representatives recently announced $ 40 billion in aid to Ukraine, and a senior delegation led by Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell traveled to Kiev to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
