MEP: We have destroyed the lives of Afghans.
Referring to the role of the United States and NATO in destroying Afghanistan’s infrastructure, Mick Wallace, a member of the European Parliament, said that the United States and NATO had destroyed human rights during their 20 years in Afghanistan.
He added: “The United States spent $ 300 million a day in Afghanistan to destroy it and now we are starving the people of Afghanistan.
“We can find endless money to smuggle weapons into Ukraine, but we cannot feed the Afghans whose lives we have lost,” Wallace said.
The MEP noted that the World Food Program has raised only a third of the money needed to help those in need in Afghanistan, but that neither the EU nor the United States is willing to pay the rest.
