Member of the European Parliament: Unfortunately, Europe is very eager to intervene in the affairs of other countries.
The Irish representative to the European Parliament wrote in a Twitter message that, unfortunately, the European Union is very eager to intervene in the internal affairs of other countries.
In a Twitter message, Mick Wallace, the Irish representative to the European Parliament, criticized the Europeans’ interference in the affairs of other countries, according to the International Group of News News.
“Like many, the European Union has many problems and challenges, but unfortunately we are very eager to intervene in the affairs of other countries, which should not concern us and we should address our own problems,” he tweeted.
EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell recently warned that the bloc was worried about losing its role as a full-fledged player on the world stage and becoming a political institution.
“Today, Europeans are increasingly at risk of becoming an instrument rather than an actor in international affairs, reacting to the decisions of others rather than shaping events,” he wrote in a blog post.
He added that such actions have often limited the interests of the European Union, as has happened in Syria, Libya and Mali.
He called on EU leaders to support the formation of an armed force that would not compete with NATO but would complement the coalition.
