Mass demonstrations in Yemen and Turkey against disrespectful action in Sweden.
According to Al-Masira website, a large number of Yemeni people came to the streets today Monday in Saada city to protest against Sweden’s recent actions.
The people of Yemen, chanting slogans and holding cloths with writings to burn the Holy Quran, considered it to be the result of the Zionist lobby in Sweden.
Demonstrators also condemned the silence of some Arab and Islamic countries regarding the heinous anti-Islamic incident in Sweden.
Yemeni people in the city of Saada chanted slogans and emphasized that the main culprits of this derogatory incident are anti-Islamic, anti-Zionist and anti-American.
“Mohammed Jaber”, the Governor of Saada, also strongly condemned the burning of a copy of the Holy Quran in Stockholm with the support of the Swedish police, and considered this action to be part of the activities against the religion of Islam and the sacredness of Muslims by Western countries.
Emphasizing that the Swedish government will be responsible for the consequences of this criminal act, he added: We ask all Muslims and free people of the world to show their anger against the Holy Quran by holding demonstrations and demand punishment for the perpetrators of this act.
In another development, a large number of Turkish people in the city of Batman strongly condemned the recent insulting action in Sweden by holding a large-scale demonstration.
