Major US companies have been hacked.
CNN reported that a group of foreign hackers attacked nine US contractors in the defense, energy, healthcare, technology and education sectors.
According to the findings of the security company “Palo Alto Networks”, which is exclusively provided to the American network “CNN”, a group of foreign hackers infiltrated 9 organizations in the fields of defense, energy, medical services, technology and education, and at least One of these hacked organizations is in the United States.
According to CNN, cybersecurity researchers with the help of the US National Security Agency have uncovered the anonymous hackers’ attempt to steal key information from US defense contractors and other sensitive targets.
According to the report, US National Security Agency officials, along with the US Cyber Security and Infrastructure Security Agency, are tracking down the threat.
Ryan Olson, a senior executive at Palo Alto, told CNN that in the current case, hackers had stolen the passwords of some of the target organizations in order to maintain long-term access to those networks.
According to the report, hackers can intercept sensitive information sent via email or stored on computer systems until they are offline.
Olson went on to say that the nine hacked organizations were at the top of the hackers’ targets, and it is likely that in the coming days it will become clear that more companies have been targeted by hackers.
According to the report, it is not yet clear who is responsible for these cyberattacks, but Palo Alto networks have claimed that some of the hackers’ tactics and tools are similar to those used by the Chinese hacker group.
