Mahmoud Abbas: The time has come for Israel to end.
The head of the Palestinian Authority told a US delegation that the Palestinian people would remain in the country until the end of the Israeli occupation.
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas hosted a US delegation Saturday evening, led by Barbara Leaf, the US Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs.
The latest developments, the dangerous situation in the Palestinian territories, as well as the escalation of tensions between the interim Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in Jerusalem and its holy sites were discussed, the Wafa news agency reported.
“Our goal is to get rid of Israel in accordance with international resolutions,” Abbas said. East Jerusalem has been and will be the eternal capital of Palestine. “We will not bargain for our national principles.”
“We will stand on our own two feet and the time has come for Israel to flee,” he said, adding that given the lack of political horizons and international support for the Palestinian people, the current situation could not be silenced or tolerated.
The head of the Palestinian Authority also said that the Palestinian leaders are seeking to take measures to counter the Zionist regime; Because the international community did not force the Zionist regime to give up its criminal and occupying activities.
Criticizing the US silence on racial cleansing by the Zionists, he stressed that the Palestine Liberation Organization should be removed from the US list of so-called terrorist groups.
Leif also claimed that Joe Biden’s government adheres to the two-state solution, and that the mission of this delegation is to prepare Biden’s trip and find ways to stop tensions in the region.
Abbas’s remarks came at a time when the Palestinian Authority has security coordination with the Zionist regime, and despite the opposition of resistance groups and the Palestinian people, Ramallah has not revoked that coordination.
