Maduro: The silence of European leaders regarding insulting the Holy Quran is regrettable.
The president of Venezuela regretted the silence of the leaders of the European countries regarding the burning of the Holy Quran.
“Nicolas Maduro”, the president of Venezuela, expressed regret for the silence of Western countries against insulting the holy books of Muslims.
According to Al-Mayadeen network, Maduro said: I regret the profound silence of the leaders of European countries regarding the burning of the Holy Quran.
He added: I condemn the people who are complicit in this crime with their silence, just as we are witnessing the silence of the heads of European countries regarding this issue.
He emphasized: I ask the Christians of the world, how would we feel if they take the initiative to burn the Christian Bibles in Sweden, Denmark or other countries?
Referring to this issue, Madero added: As a Christian, I ask myself how would we Christians feel if someone tries to burn the Bible? We will be very angry and it will be a great insult if someone burns the scriptures. Deep in my heart, I understand the anger of Muslims around the world when they see the Holy Quran being burned.
Condemning the spread of hatred against Muslims, Maduro also emphasized that extreme right-wing and racist groups and factions in Western countries who insult the Holy Quran are condemned.
The continuous insult to the Holy Quran in Denmark brought a strong reaction from Muslim countries, and many countries summoned Danish ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions. Danish diplomats in Baghdad also left Iraq.
The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Denmark issued a statement on Sunday, August 15, following the continued insult to the Holy Quran.
In this statement, it is stated: The Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Copenhagen strongly condemns the continuous hateful act of insulting the Holy Quran in Denmark.
The said statement states: This embassy is surprised by the lack of action by the Danish authorities to prevent the continuous promotion of violence in the form of hateful and xenophobic speeches and insults to the Holy Quran.
