Mackenzie says Iranian missiles more accurate than ever. The commander of the US Central Command for Terrorism in West Asia (Centcom), after acknowledging the loss of US military air superiority over Iran a few days ago, has now admitted that the accuracy of Iranian missiles in targeting has improved.
Speaking on Thursday night, Gen. Frank Mackenzie, commander of the US Central Asia Headquarters, known as Centcom, acknowledged Iran’s military achievements in the field of missiles. “The issue is of concern to us.”
“Iran’s threat in the field of ballistic missiles is significant and has made significant progress in terms of quantity,” said the commander of the US Central Command in West Asia.
“What is happening now between Iran and Israel is worrying, but I do not think it will lead to war,” General Mackenzie told a news conference.
“Iran has not done anything irreversible in the nuclear field at the moment,” said the commander of the US Central Command in West Asia.
In another part of his speech, General Mackenzie stated that “the forces of Qadd (Syrian Democratic Forces) have been successful in supporting American forces in Syria.”
“We are preparing for a future clash between the Qaddafi forces and the Syrian army,” said the commander of the US Central Command in West Asia.
The commander of the US Central Command’s Terrorist Headquarters in West Asia also acknowledged the loss of US military air superiority over Iran at a hearing of the US House Armed Services Committee last Tuesday.
Asked whether the United States had lost its air superiority in the Middle East, Gen. Mackenzie said, “Iran’s widespread use of small and medium-sized drones for reconnaissance and attack operations means that for the first time since the Korean Peninsula War “In the early 1950s, we were operating without complete air superiority.”
