Lebanese politician: Iran is one of the factors for regional stability.
The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party, Talal Arsal, said that Iran’s position in the region is very advanced, which has been reflected in the stabilization of the region.
In an interview with Al-Mayadin, the Secretary General of the Lebanese Democratic Party discussed developments in Lebanon and issues related to the Resistance Front.
“Talal Arsalan” in his speech described Iran’s position in the region as very advanced and said: “These conditions of Iran are reflected in creating stability in the region.”
The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party also said about the situation in Syria: “There is a political team in the region that has lost all its calculations and today Syria is victorious, and therefore Syria is dealing with the recent developments from the position of the victorious side.”
Arsalan stressed: “The fact that Damascus has emphasized that it will never compromise with Israel is a sign that Syria is interacting from the position of the victorious side.”
Stating that the position of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has remained the same in the framework of a just and comprehensive peace, he said: “Syria’s position is firm and the price of the Arabs’ proximity to Damascus will never be normalization with Israel.”
The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party called the Idlib case in Syria and the presence of terrorist groups there solvable and said: “The United States has no choice but to leave Syria.”
“The intelligence investigation by the army and the judiciary confirms that the ambush was pre-arranged and that similar incidents could occur if the root of the case is not resolved,” he said, referring to a recent deadly shooting in Beirut’s al-Tayouneh neighborhood.
The leader of the Lebanese Democratic Party stressed that the subject of the investigation into the crime of the explosion of the port of Beirut on August 4, 2020 should not be linked to the ambush of al-Tayouna in Beirut that took place on October 14. Rather, it is an incident that threatens internal peace and coexistence in Lebanon.
