Lebanese Minister forced aside by Riyadh. We praise the resistance of the Yemenis
In an interview, George Qardahi, the retired Minister of Information of Lebanon, praised the seven-year resistance of the Yemenis against the invasion of the Saudi coalition.
“George Qardahi”, the former Minister of Information of Lebanon, in a message, congratulated the sacrifice and stability of the Yemeni people against the war that has lasted for more than seven years.
According to the Saba Net news agency, Qardahi expressed his hope that the ceasefire announced in Yemen will continue and that peace and stability will prevail in the region in a telephone conversation with the “Ahed Al-Ahrar Baqi” program on Sana’a radio. He also sent a message of love and solidarity to all Yemeni people and considered Yemen as a country, a nation and a land.
The former minister of information of Yemen added: “I know Yemenis and I never asked Yemenis what is your sect and affiliation and which region you are from. In their faces, you can see the whole of Yemen and long patience, and I think that the dawn is near and we “We are near dawn and I hope that the ceasefire will last for a long time.”
While congratulating all parties for agreeing to the ceasefire, he expressed hope that the ceasefire will remain stable and that everyone will respect and adhere to this ceasefire, because this ceasefire is beneficial for the people of Yemen.
Qardahi then said: “Our heart is with Yemen and its people, and the time has come for this night to light up, and if I have a word for the people of Yemen, it is a word of love, gratitude and admiration for their sacrifices.” I have great wishes to stabilize their situation, the return of Yemenis to their normal lives, the return of children to schools and the improvement of the condition of hospitals are the things I want for Yemen.”
The former Minister of Information of Lebanon once again said that the war in Yemen is futile, the same statement that angered the Saudis to the point where they recalled their ambassador from Beirut and created diplomatic tension with Lebanon, which forced Qardahi to resign.
