Lebanese girl in response to the representative of the country: Wearing a veil is my right.
A Lebanese girl, in response to the statements of a representative of this country who criticized wearing a veil, said that the Lebanese constitution guarantees the freedom of all religions.
Recently, Pola Yagoubian, a member of the Lebanese Parliament, criticized the wearing of veils by some Lebanese girls.
He claimed that this is not Lebanese culture and women have never worn a black cover from head to toe in this way.
Fatima Nassar, a member of Hizbullah’s Educational Basij (Al-Tabin al-Tarbiyah), who was present in the program of Al-Manar network, said in response to these statements: “It is my right to wear a veil.”
He stated that the Constitution of Lebanon guarantees freedom, including freedom of opinion and religion, for everyone.
Some Lebanese users also responded to Yaqubian by publishing pictures of Christian nuns’ clothing in this country.
