Lapid: Ankara-Tel Aviv relations have been revealed to everyone.
Referring to the non-secrecy of their relations with Ankara, the Israeli Foreign Minister stressed that the improvement of Turkish-Israeli relations was not a secret.
Zionist Foreign Minister Yair Lapid met with his Greek counterpart Dindias today (Wednesday) and stressed that improving Turkey’s relations with Tel Aviv is not a secret.
According to the Anatolia news agency, the two sides discussed issues such as the war in Ukraine, its effects on the West Asian region, international developments, bilateral relations between Greece and Israel, and energy security.
“Everyone knows that relations between Israel and Turkey have improved and this is no secret,” Lapid said during a meeting on Israeli relations with Ankara. “Under no circumstances will this affect our deep relations with Greece.”
Emphasizing the need to diversify energy resources, the Israeli Foreign Minister announced the Tel Aviv-Athens agreement for cooperation between the two sides in assessing energy investments in the Middle East.
Lapid’s remarks come less than a month ago, when Turkey hosted Israeli President Ishaq Herzog for two days; This was the first visit by an Israeli official to Ankara in about 14 years.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a joint news conference with Herzog that the trip would be a new turning point in Ankara-Tel Aviv relations.
